"The Entry to Practice Mentorship by Dr. Sarah Wilson has truly been some of the most valuable information I have learned throughout my naturopathic education. I feel much more confident in diagnosing, ordering and interpreting appropriate lab work and determining the best treatment options for complicated cases. This course has definitely allowed me to improve as an intern, and I am so grateful to have learned such a vast amount of new information that I can use to better support patients in my future practice. I highly recommend taking this course to anyone in their clinical internship!"

“I learned more in 12 weeks than I learned in all of my years at CCNM!”

Leaving the comfort of your educational institution and diving into practice can be terrifying! Especially if you are going into practice far away from friends and colleagues! The Entry to Practice (ETP) mentorship is here to help ease that transition and help you focus on getting patients excellent results.

Throughout the 12 week course we will focus on not only the theory behind treating the conditions discussed below, but on applying that knowledge to patient cases. ETP also has an emphasis on getting you set up for practice. We discuss what forms you need, structuring visits, setting up patient care systems, and basic marketing and patient acquisition strategies.

In addition to each weekly topic we have a live group call to discuss any questions and dive into a complex patient case.

WEEKLY TOPICS INCLUDE:

  • Efficient and effective patient research (even when you don’t have an institution login!)
  • How to set up intake forms, acquire patients and keep them coming! We also cover patient and clinic KPIs
  • Functional patient history and appointment management
  • Complex case group challenges and live discussions
  • Lab testing 101
  • Foundations of health and DIS-ease
  • Weight loss resistance
  • Hashimoto’s and thyroid management
  • PCOS- different types and treatments
  • Evolving understanding of endometriosis
  • Preconception education
  • Pregnancy, labour and postpartum

Each week you can expect to set aside 1-2hrs for the recorded class and 1-2 hrs for the live call. Sessions will vary in length depending on the topic. Miss a week? All live calls are recorded and the course is available to you for 3 months after the completion of the live components.
